It is my great pleasure to welcome you to the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence.
This Center is the realization of a long-held vision to transform cancer care in Ghana and across Sub-Saharan Africa. Named in honor of His Majesty Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, whose leadership and commitment to human development continue to inspire generations, it is being established to provide world-class cancer prevention, early detection, diagnosis, treatment, research, training, and survivorship care.
For far too long, many individuals and families across our region have faced significant barriers in accessing timely and comprehensive cancer care. The Center seeks to change that reality by bringing cutting-edge technology, multidisciplinary expertise, innovative research, and compassionate patient-centered care under one roof.
We invite patients, families, healthcare professionals, researchers, development partners, donors, and friends from around the world to join us on this transformative journey. Together, we can build a future where quality cancer care is accessible to all and where every person affected by cancer is given the opportunity to live with dignity, hope, and the best possible care.

Who We Are
The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence (OOTII CCCoE) will provide the much-needed dedicated facility for cancer care, prevention, awareness creation, diagnostics, screening, treatment, research, training, education, telemedicine, an AI Hub, palliative care and rehabilitation — including survivorship — for all cancers.
The Phase One which is estimated at a cost of $10 Million will commence after the Sod-cutting ceremony by His Royal Majesty, the Asantehene, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II – the Chief Patron of the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence (OOTII CCCoE). The key components comprise Clinical Services (Radiotherapy suite), a Research Wing, AI Hub, Education Center and Community Outreach.
Towards its establishment, certain strategic considerations have already been considered such as Public-Private Partnerships, International Collaboration, Technology Integration, Capacity Building as well as the Local and Global Leadership/Commitment in the form of a 52-acre plot of land contribution at Kwaso, near Kumasi in the Ashanti region by the Peace and Love Hospitals and BCI.
The successful implementation of The Otumfuo Osei Tutu II Comprehensive Cancer Center of Excellence (OOTII CCCoE) will not only benefit the people of Ghana and West Africa, but also contribute to the broader advancement of cancer care on the African continent. The Center will also be the hub for medical tourism and stop the movement of cancer patients from Africa to other continents for treatment.
